Who we are

Hello there!

We’re Sam & Nico, and we started our holiday services right here in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where we know winter is long and full of opportunities to lend a helping hand.

What began as a couple of high school students helping neighbors — clearing sidewalks, hanging lights for our families, and tying trees to car roofs — has grown into something much bigger. Today, Sam & Nico’s Holiday Services is a dedicated team of over 15 college and high school students who share the same goal: to make the season brighter, easier, and more enjoyable for our community.

For us, this work goes beyond snow removal or light installation — it’s about people. It’s about creating meaningful job opportunities for our friends and peers, supporting local families, and helping others make the most of the moments that matter most.

Whether it’s delivering trees, removing snow, setting up lights, or salting sidewalks, our crew shows up with care, reliability, and pride in what we do. We love the spirit of the season, the crisp winter mornings, and the sense of connection that comes from helping our neighbors.

Because here in Minneapolis, we all face the cold together — and we’re honored to be a small part of what keeps our city moving, glowing, and full of holiday cheer all winter long.

Sam Ismail — a lifelong resident of the Kenny neighborhood and now a freshman at Gustavus. Growing up here has given me such a strong appreciation for the kind of community where people look out for one another, lend a hand, and share a smile even on the coldest winter mornings. That spirit is what inspired me to start helping out — first by shoveling sidewalks for family and friends, and now by offering reliable snow removal and tree delivery services throughout the neighborhood.

When I’m not out working, you’ll probably find me reading, skiing, or learning a new language. I love spending time around the lakes and can never resist stopping by Punch Pizza for a quick bite. More than anything, I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that’s always supported me — keeping our neighborhood safe, welcoming, and ready for the season ahead.

Nico Eisenmenger — Born and raised right here in Minneapolis, I’ve always had a deep love for the city that shaped who I am. Growing up through long winters and bright summers taught me the value of hard work, community, and lending a hand wherever it’s needed. What started as helping neighbors shovel sidewalks and tidy up yards slowly grew into a lifelong passion for caring for outdoor spaces — from landscaping and horticulture to snow removal and seasonal services.

For me, this work has always been about more than the job itself. It’s about showing up for people, taking pride in what we build together, and helping make life a little easier for those around us. Minneapolis has given me so much — and through this work, I get to give a bit of that back every day.
